Sweetheart Workshop

Join the Devine Memories teaching and design staff for this all-day event! Our Sweetheart Workshop will be held Saturday, February 7th from 9am-3:30pm. You can sign up for just one or two classes, or take all six! These 45 minute "mini-classes" are only $6.00 each, or $30.00 for all six and are perfect gifts for your sweetie, teacher, friend, ...whoever! Here's a preview of what we'll be making:

9-10am Sandy's Vintage Romantic Gift Bag
Join Sandy is creating this sweet gift bag with a romantic, vintage flair! Fill it with candy or sweets for your Valentine!


10-11am Melissa's Sweetheart Poem Frame
Melissa will show you how to make this sweet 6" X 6" frame. Comes with poem, but you could remove it and add your own photo!

11am-12pm Rebecca's Mini-Valentine's Cards
Join Rebecca in making 4 little Valentine's cards to give to your favorite sweetheart! You'll be working with glitter, ribbon, velvet ric-rack and more!

12:30-1:30pm Michelle's Lovey Dovey Gift Boxes

1:30-2:30pm Julie's Sweet Retro-Magnet Board
Julie created this adorable 4" X 4" tin magnet board to hold a photo or message to your loved one! Learn how to make the adorable layered circle flower too!

2:30-3:30 Amy's Shabby French Memo Board
Amy will walk you through creating your very own French Memo Board. This 12" X 10" board is covered in a shabby-chic inspired floral fabric with hand stitched chenille heart.

9am... Michelle's Mini Album

This sweet little 4.5" X 3.5" album has a chipboard cover and scalloped cardstock filler pages. It would make a great album for Christmas memories or a little recipe folder for all those traditional family favorites!

10am...Michelle's Magnetic Memo Board

This 8x10 magnetic memo board is decorated with Teresa Collins' new recipe themed products. Its perfect for holding your recipe cards while you work in the kitchen! Comes complete with magnets!

11am...Amy and Sandy's Ornaments

You will decorate one ornament in class and get the kit to make another one at home! The star ornament can be personalized with the letter of your choice on the front, and the year on the back. The circle ornament kit will include vintage Christmas sheet music and a fun Frosty the Snowman image!

12:30pm... Sandy's Star Box

Join Sandy in creating this festive star box, approximately 8" X 6". Perfect for holding little cookies, candy, or potpourri!

1:30pm...Rebecca's Treat Can

How sweet is this? Rebecca will walk you through altering a quart-size paint can with vintage holiday colors and papers, including the handmade bow on top. This one will come filled with popcorn, but you could also do hot cocoa mix, or other goodies. So cute!

2:30pm... Amy's Candy Jar

We will decorate the front and top of this 4" X 5" class jar with fun K & Co. paper, rik-rack, tulle, and tags to hold yummy holiday candies. And yes, the candy is included!

3:30pm... Trisha's Altered "F"

Join Trisha in altering this wooden "F" as a gift for your "friends" or "family." Includes a hook and tag to add a photo or note.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

OK, not really... It was still 83 degrees today! And the palm trees are gently swaying in the warm breeze. But the calendar shows it's only 37 days until Christmas, so that means it's time for holiday classes at Devine Memories!

December 2nd, 6-8pm.... Christmas Countdown

Join our talented Design Team member Melissa Veres for this fun Advent calendar class! Using Making Memories fun Fa-La-La holiday line and a 12 X 12 wooden frame, you will end up with an Advent calendar you will cherish! Please bring matte finish Mod-Podge, wet adhesive, favorite distress inks and sturdy scissors in addition to your basic tool kit. Class fee $30

December 3rd, 6:35-7:45pm.... Merry Christmas Wall Art

Join Michelle in creating another one of her gorgeous wall boards, this one specifically for the holiday season! All materials will be included. Basic tools needed; paper trimmer, wet adhesive, favorite inks. Choose from black or white frame color when registering for class so they may be sealed ahead of time! Class fee $16.

Holiday Card Mini-Marathon

Tuesday, October 28th 6-8pm

Get a jump start on your holiday cards. There will be four samples to choose from. Sign-up for one or all three cards. Each card will be pre-cut so all you have to do is put them together! Cost per card is $2.50. Minimum order is "4" cards. Maximum order is "24" cards. Designs must be chosen prior to class. You will need to bring basic tool kit to include adhesive, paper piercer, scissors, red, green, or brown distress ink. (Image of 4th card will be available soon!)

Fall into Family Fun!

Join our talented Design Team member, Rebecca Tresler, in creating 2 scrapbook pages showcasing Fall and Family with acrylic accents! She will be using beautiful, trendy Fall colors, paint, glitter and more! We will be learning how to jazz up acrylic and add them to scrapbook pages! Monday, October 20th, 6-8pm, Cost is only $15!

Thursday October 2nd 6:30pm "Counting down the days" Class fee $22

Join Michelle in creating this unique desk-sized calendar approximately 4x6 made out of wood. You will receive all materials for the base and cover and a 16 month calendar to count down to 2010. We will be using the gorgeous Tangerine Dream line by Jenni Bowlin. taught by Michelle

Saturday October 4th National Card Making Day! Stop by the store for a free card make'n take. Available while supplies last. Enter our card making contest and win a gift certificate from the store. Card must be homemade, original design, center around a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme, use green as one of the colors, and include chipboard as an embellishment. Prizes will be given to 1st and 2nd place winners. Submit your entries begining Monday, September 29th through Saturday, October 4th. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 6th.

Thursday October 9th 6:30pm Fall Card Class You can almost smell the change in weather as we get ready for the fall. Join Sandy and make "4" cards to celebrate this time of the year. All product to make the cards is included. Class fee is $16.00. Bring your basic tool kit to include brown, red, or orange distress inks.

Saturday October 11th 3-8pm FREE Canon Demonstration Join a local Canon representative for a fun, free printer demonstration! Monday October 13th 10am-3pm "Kit Krazy" Do you LOVE those Monday Scrap Happy Hour kits? Well join us from 10-3 for a kit extravaganza. There will be 15 different page kits to choose from. Heres how it works.

1- You can sign up for ALL the kits for $42 (thats a 20% savings)
2- You can buy 5 kits for $15 (a 15% savings)

Tuesday, October 14th 6-8pm "Festive or Frightful?" This class is kinda like "The Nightmare Before Christmas" meets altered art! We will be altering three 9" letters with patterned paper and embellisments to spell either JOY or BOO, your choice! The completed project is perfect for hanging on your front door for either holiday. Also makes a great gift. SO CUTE! See samples in the store.Taught by Amy, cost is $25.Basic tool kit plus X-acto knife and wet adhesive, such at Tacky Glue.

Thursday October 16th 7-8:30pm "Theres no place like home"Join Michelle in creating a 4x4 maya road chipboard album using Elsies Jack and Abby papers and cardstock stickers. We will learn creative ways to use chipboard albums and make them uniquely yours.

Saturday October 18th 9:30am "Keeping it Simple" Class fee $22 Join Michelle in creating "simple" yet pretty pages for your scrapbook. We will make 5 12x12 pages with various generic themes to fit everyone. **basic tools required. Materials will be supplied

Saturday October 18th 2pm "Kids Klub- Thanksgiving place mat" Let's create our own place mat for Thanksgiving dinner. We will scrapbook a 12 x 12 inch work of art that can be used as a place mat. Students will also make a Thanksgiving card that can be given to a teacher, friend, or grandparents. Class fee is $12.00 and includes all materials to make these two projects. You will need to bring your basic tool kit to include: adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer, black or brown journaling pen. You can also bring pictures if you want to use them as part of the project.

Tuesday October 21st 6-8:30pm "Canvas Collage Countdown" Class fee $35

Michelle will provide you with all the supplies and techniques to create a 10x10 canvas advant calendar. We will be using a mixture of vintage goodies, paints, glitter, vinyl rubons and much more.

Saturday October 25th 3pm Guest teacher Jamie Harper 8x8 Christmas album $40 Jamie Harper is an Arizona resident. Her greatest passion is that of a Photographer, she also travels teaching at CKC's around the US, she is a 2007 HOFer, and she designs for several companies in the industry. She loves her flexible schedule to be able to spend her time with her family while still working. She has 4 beautiful children and a wonderfully supportive husband. She has been teaching scrapbooking in some capacity or another for the past 13 years. She is full of life and energy, and you will love her class. Jamie will be sharing an 8x8 holiday album with tons of extras. Bling,bling, and more bling, stamping, chipboard embellishments, glitter and much much more.
